MEET THE EXECUTIVE BOARD

Deputy Secretary-General : Aarav Doshi

"Upon the conduct of each depends the fate of all."
- Alexander the Great

Dear delegates and MUN directors,

Diplomacy is not a performance. It is a siege against the encroaching chaos of a fragmented world. For too long, the international community has treated global governance as a series of polite suggestions.

We have sat in halls like these, trading rhetoric for relevance, while the foundations of our shared reality began to fracture. In 2026, the luxury of "neutrality" has expired. We are no longer debating abstract theories; we are negotiating the terms of our survival.

The theme of this conference, Shared Responsibility, Collective Progress, is not a slogan. It is a strategic mandate.

In the ancient phalanx, a soldier’s shield was never meant to protect himself. It was held to protect the man to his left. If one man faltered, the line broke. If the line broke, the city fell. This is the brutal reality of our interdependence. Your national interest is a delusion if it ignores the stability of the collective. There is no such thing as a sovereign victory in a scorched world. When we speak of shared responsibility, we are speaking of the iron weight of duty. It is the recognition that the strength of the global order is only as resilient as its most vulnerable link.

Progress is not a gift that arrives with time. It is a conquest. It is the result of the friction between opposing wills until only a unified path remains. Too many leaders hide behind the shield of sovereignty to justify the cowardice of inaction. They treat responsibility as a burden to be shifted rather than a command to be executed.

At DAIMUN 2026, I demand a complete departure from the theatre of diplomacy. Do not bring me resolutions that seek the lowest common denominator. Consensus is often the place where substance goes to die. If your clauses do not contain the mechanisms of enforcement, they are merely ink on a page. If your arguments do not demand sacrifice from the powerful and protection for the weak, you have failed the mandate of this office.

We are here to dismantle the Inertia of the Individual. This is the fatal mindset that waits for a neighbor to act first while the fire spreads. We must replace it with a relentless, calculated drive for equity. True collective progress requires the precision of a strategist and the conscience of a guardian. You are not here to inherit a broken order. You are here to forge a new one.

Approach your committees with the rigor of a commander. Speak with the clarity of someone who understands that words carry the weight of lives. Listen with the intent to find the gap in the enemy’s line: the enemy being our own complacency. The world has enough declarations. It needs a command structure for the human race.

Delegates, let’s get to work.

Warm Regards,
Aarav Doshi
